TIP 1 Installing and Using CutePDF
CutePDF is a free print-to-PDF program for Microsoft Windows. It allows you to print virtually anything to a new PDF file. During installation the program will try to install some extra programs that you don't need, and that can/will cause your computer to slow down. Follow the steps below to install CutePDF without the extra programs.
STEP 1: Download the CutePDF installer from here and open it.
STEP 2: Click Next >
STEP 3: Check the circle next to I accept the agreement then Click Next >
STEP 4: Uncheck the boxes next to Set Ask as my default search provider and Set Ask.com as my browser homepage and new tabs page, then Click Next >
STEP 5: This step only shows up if you have Google Chrome installed. If you do and you see this screen, click Decline. If you don't have Google Chrome installed, skip to the next step.
STEP 6: Click Decline on the install WeatherBug screen.
STEP 7: Click Install.
STEP 8: At the end of the installation, a message will pop up saying CutePDF Writer must be used with PS2PDF converter. Click Yes to allow it to be downloaded and installed. Once it is done installing, this window will close and a webpage will open up in your default internet browser. Continue to the next step to see how to use CutePDF to make PDF files.
STEP 9: Open up a webpage, word or excel document, or even a picture that you want to turn into a PDF. Go to File > Print, or press CTRL+P, to open the Print window. Scroll to the left and select CutePDF Writer then click Print.
STEP 10: When the Save As windows pops up, rename the file in the File name field, then choose a location to save the file in, such as My Document or Desktop then click Save. You have just created a new PDF document. It's as simple as that.
